Throw up. Although you may not want to, the quickest way to recover from a hangover is to remove all the alcohol from your system. Immediately after you throw up, you will feel a sense of relief and consciousness. If you are unable to throw up on your won, drink hot tea. Consuming hot tea will help to clean our your system and help with the throw up process.
Drink water or sports drinks. Sports drinks help to break down the alcohol in your system and keeps you hydrated, a great choice to clean out your system.
Eat bland foods like burnt toast, cereal, and crackers. The carbon in burnt toast helps to filter impurities which is the cause of many people to get alcohol poisoning. Consuming carbohydrates will help your body restore its energy and maintain normal blood sugar concentration, not to absorb the alcohol like most people think it does.
Consume foods and drinks that contain fructose. The National Health Foundation suggests a drink that will help with a hangover which includes 1-1/3 cups of apple juice, 1 teaspoon of lemon and 12 ounces of club soda. Simply mix the apple juice and lemon juice together and slowly add in the club soda while stirring.
Sleep. The last and most important cure to a hangover is giving your body the time to recover. Sleep is crucial for anyone who is suffering and you might wake up with a slight headache still, but it is much better than suffering throughout the day.
